Workshops
At North Bend Pottery, we keep the wheel turning for everyone, from first-timers curious to get their hands in clay to seasoned makers refining their craft. Our classes are designed to be welcoming and practical, with a focus on learning by doing in a supportive, creative studio.

Workshop Types
Introductory
North Bend Pottery offers beginner-friendly workshops with no prior experience needed. Our “Introduction to Wheel Throwing” covers the basics of the wheel, while “Pottery Combo Workshop: Wheel and Hand-building" provides a full overview of wheel throwing, trimming, and hand-building.
Family
Our family workshops are about making memories while making art, whether you’re bringing the kids, planning a date night, or enjoying a creative outing with friends. Perfect for beginners or anyone new to ceramics, these sessions offer a seasonally rotating selection of fun, approachable projects you can complete in just one class. Come ready to get your hands dirty, try something new, and take home a piece that’s uniquely yours.
Family Workshop Guidelines
• Children age 7 or younger must have a caregiver present to assist with the project. A ticket is only required for the adult if they also want to make their own piece.
• Children age 8 or older must have a caregiver present for the full class. Most students in this age range can work independently, but adults are encouraged to purchase a ticket and join in because creating together is part of the fun.
• Students age 15 or older may attend without a caregiver.
Specialty
We love offering workshops that help everyone grow as artists and explore new ways of working with clay. Our specialty workshops focus on a specific project or technique, giving you the chance to learn new skills and add innovative techniques to your creative toolkit. We offer specialty workshops for both beginners and those with prior ceramic experience, with each session limited to 10 students for plenty of individual guidance.
Members Only
North Bend Pottery offers monthly, member-exclusive workshops designed to support all skill levels and interests. These small-group sessions provide personalized guidance, opportunities to learn from skilled instructors, and space to connect with fellow members.
