What classes do you offer?
We offer a variety of pottery classes and workshops including introduction to wheel throwing, family hand-building workshops, and rotating specialty classes dedicated to enhancing skillsets and learning new techniques.

Are there age requirements for classes?
Our programs are designed with artists’ ages and interests in mind. Please note the age listed in each class description. There is something for everyone in our studio offerings! Little ones can join parents in family workshops, or can paint bisque pieces during our open studio hours! Kids ages 9+ can hop on a wheel alongside a parent and learn how to throw!

Are materials provided?
Yes, all necessary materials, including clay, tools, aprons, and glazes, are provided during classes.

How do I visit North Bend Pottery?
Please come create with us! Our Open Studio hours are available to the local community every week, offering a perfect opportunity to explore working with clay. Our open studio hours are Wed: 2-7pm, Fri: 1:30-6pm, and Sat: 2-7pm each week. Please visit our Open Studio page for details on making a reservation.

How do I sign up for a membership?
Start by going to the membership tab on our website and booking yourself for a guided studio tour. During the tour, we’ll go over studio policies and procedures, and we’ll show you all the tools and equipment that will be available for you to create with. After the tour we will set you up with your membership while you are still in the studio. We offer prorated memberships for mid-month starts or can postpone your start date to the beginning of the month following your tour date. New members pay first month’s dues (prorated if starting mid-month) and a one-time $39 supply fee. You’ll leave the tour with a member gift, the 24hr Pottery app, and your independent access to the studio to start creating immediately!

Do you host private parties?
Celebrate with clay! We host birthdays, team outings, and gatherings where you and your crew can get messy, spin the wheel, and make something memorable together. Pick a day, bring your people, we’ll provide the clay, tools, and good vibes. Email info@northbendpottery.com with your date, time, and guest count to book.

What is your return policy?
We do not accept returns on completed pottery pieces. However, if you have issues with your class experience, please reach out to us for assistance.

How do I access the Studio?
Once your membership is set up, you’ll receive access to the 24hr Pottery app, which serves as your studio key, provides kiln unload updates, tracks purchases, and connects you to community boards.

How do I stay up to date with North Bend Pottery?
For members, the 24hr Pottery app has multiple communication channels to keep you informed about studio updates and events. For non-members, follow our pages on Facebook and Instagram, and email us anytime at info@northbendpottery.com

How do I track my monthly hours?
Use the check-in button on the app to unlock the studio door and start your visit.
When leaving, tap the check-out button to end your visit. These actions track your total monthly usage. Unused hours do not roll over to the following month. You can check your balance anytime in the 24hr Pottery app.

How do I purchase clay and glazes?
For members, clay can be purchased directly through the 24hr pottery app and picked up right in the studio. For community members visiting during open studio hours, clay can be purchased in the studio upon checking in for your reservation. We provide a variety of dip and brush-on glazes for everyone. You may bring in your own clay and glaze(s), as long as they are compatible with our kiln temperatures and the glazes are AP certified. Raw glaze mixing is not permitted due to ventilation limitations.

Do I need to be a member to join specialty workshops?
No! While members get priority enrollment, workshops are open to the public.

Can I bring a non-member to use the space?
Due to insurance policies, non-members can only enter during designated open studio times. Guests are welcome to reserve time during open studio, and/or enroll in our workshops. Non-members cannot access the studio without a staff member present.

Can my children use the space with me?
Membership at North Bend Pottery is designed for adults and accompanied teens ages 15+. However younger kids can join parents during open studio hours on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and they can be enrolled in family workshops! Kids aged 9+ can even join their parents in the introduction to wheel throwing classes! Awesome opportunities to spend quality time with our children and make lasting memories.

Can I bring outside work to fire in your kilns?
We require that all fired work be created within the studio in order to maintain our 10-day turnaround time. We ask that all members follow this guideline regardless of membership type.
Important: the North Bend Pottery studio is not intended for full-time production potters.

Where do I store my clay and tools?
We offer Member cubbies at $10/month Storage fees are added to your monthly membership. Clay and personal tools cannot be stored on shelves or floors, shelving is for in-process work only.

Can I pause my membership?
Yes! You can pause your membership for $19 per month to hold your spot in the studio. Pause requests must be sent to info@northbendpottery.com by the 25th of the month before the pause takes effect.
Pausing ensures your spot is saved and waives the $39 supply fee when you return.

Requests to cancel or modify a membership must be emailed to info@northbendpottery.com by the 25th of the month before the change takes effect.
