This focused class dives into the art of trimming and creating refined footings on leather-hard pieces. Students will learn how to properly center work for trimming and use a variety of tools to clean up profiles, sharpen lines, and bring balance to their forms. Emphasis will be placed on developing a steady trimming rhythm, understanding when a piece is ready to trim, and making thoughtful design decisions that elevate both function and aesthetics.
Please bring a finished piece from the wheel in the leather-hard stage that needs trimming and footing.
