Introduction to Wheel Throwing

Discover the joy of working with clay on the pottery wheel! This class is designed for absolute beginners and will guide you through the fundamentals of wheel throwing. You’ll learn how to prepare clay, center it on the wheel, and shape simple forms such as bowls and cylinders. Our instructor will provide step-by-step demonstrations and plenty of hands-on support as you practice.

By the end of the class, you’ll have a solid foundation in wheel throwing techniques to equip you for future classes and growth. No prior experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and willingness to get a little messy.
All clay, tools, and materials are provided.

*Students must be 9 years old to use the pottery wheels and must have a participating (ticketed) adult accompanying them. Students 15 years and older are welcome to attend workshops independently.
